Alf Menzies

In 2004, following 22 years’ service in the Royal Navy, Alf Menzies became a Director of Xpedite. During his service Alf gained expertise in Weapon and Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Engineering. Due to his broad weapon engineering equipment knowledge, Alf was selected for a high profile Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) post following an interview with the Integrated Project Team Leader. Within Xpedite, Alf currently specialises in Weapon and Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Engineering, as well as overseeing Xpedite’s UMMS Management contract for Frigates. Alf is also Head of Xpedite’s Upkeep Management Department accountable for control of Upkeep Planning and Work Specification production.

Dean Moss

After gaining 10 years’ experience as a Marine Engineering Officer with the Merchant Navy and achieving a BEng (Honours) Degree in Marine Engineering, Dean became a Director of Xpedite in 2004. During his service in the Royal Fleet Auxiliary Dean achieved a Class Two (Motor) Certificate of Competency and gained extensive experience of motor and steam systems. In 2002 Dean qualified as an RCM (RCM2) Practitioner (Aladon Ltd), and manages this business area within Xpedite. Through the IMarEST Dean has also achieved Chartered Engineering Status, which helps him to ensure Xpedite continues to expand and develop. Dean’s main project management area is the QEC support contract – this contract has encompassed the derivation and ongoing through life management of maintenance for the new aircraft carriers.

George Menzies

George Menzies became a Director of Xpedite in 2004 after completing more than 22 years’ service in the Royal Navy. During his time in the Navy he gained expertise in marine engineering systems, this is the area he manages within Xpedite. Alongside this he has also become the ‘in-house’ leading expert in Maintenance Management Systems (MMS) and currently oversees Xpedite’s ‘Floorplate Support’ contract with MMSG. George also oversees the UMMS through life support contract with RFA/CSS.

Kris Westerman

Kris Westerman became a Director of Xpedite in 2004 following a continuous 12 years in the Royal Navy Submarine Service. Whilst serving in the Royal Navy, Kris gained expert knowledge within nuclear engineering and in many other aspects of sub surface support. Kris became a member of The Institute of Nuclear Engineers, showing an ongoing commitment to nuclear engineering. Kris manages all contracts within the Sub-Surface environment for Xpedite, and is the main point of contact for our UMMS support contract with ISM.

Natalie Brown

Natalie Brown joined Xpedite as the Business Support Manager in 2010 and was promoted to Operations Director in 2017. Having gained a degree specialising in Psychology, Natalie turned career focus to the field of HR gaining her post graduate diploma in Human Resource Management via the CIPD, her experience and knowledge in this field has more recently seen her gain full Chartered Status. Natalie is responsible for all business management areas within Xpedite – with her focus on HR, commercial, and future business opportunities.
