Manufacturing Process Early Equipment Management

Xpedite are on contract to support a Global Snacks and Beverage manufacturer with their Early Equipment Management (EEM). Xpedite help to implement maintenance, spares and work instruction for equipment CAPEX within all their European manufacturing site. The intent is to ensure that optimised maintenance routines, tailored spares and comprehensive work instructions are in place at setting to work. The process is also applied on legacy equipment to generate ‘standard’ maintenance that can be implemented across sites.

RCM Implementation

Xpedite are on contract with a global Offshore Support Services Company to implement and mentor their Reliability Centred Maintenance programme.

The organisation approached Xpedite to help centralise their asset management and support to their Fleet in order to achieve efficiencies and consistency. Their process of choice to generate fleet wide maintenance schedules was RCM. The project aim was to deliver the right maintenance (optimised where appropriate) with the right spares to the fleet to minimise off high-time but also to deliver efficiencies.

Xpedite was awarded the contract to support the activities of the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and within the Queen Elizabeth Class (QEC) RCM projects.

The QEC aircraft carriers, HMS QUEEN ELIZABETH and HMS PRINCE OF WALES, are the largest warships ever built for the Royal Navy and are each capable of carrying up to 40 aircraft. The carriers will ensure Britain’s interests are protected throughout the world, and HMS QUEEN ELIZABETH is expected to remain the Royal Navy’s flagship for decades to come.

ASTUTE Class - RCM Project

Xpedite successfully delivered whole boat RCM for the ASTUTE Class submarines. The largest, most advanced and most complex submarine of its kind ever operated by the Royal Navy.

Xpedite were contracted by the MoD to support the prime contractor in delivery of the whole boat maintenance strategy by applying RCM principles in accordance with Def Stan 00-45. Effective project management and drawing on lessons learnt ensured the delivery of a safe, practical and cost effective maintenance solution.
